“Roswell United Methodist Church has been my home church since I was born. Throughout my life, I have attended Kidz Zone through elementary school and the Dod through middle and high school. After experiencing many things at RUMC, I have wanted to give back to the church. I served in the Roswell Kids ministry (formerly known as Kidz Zone) as a student class leader from August 2014-May 2015 and August 2015- May 2016 where I helped to teach a Sunday school class with an adult leader. During the summer, I have volunteered at VBS in 2017, 2018, and 2019 and plan to do so this upcoming summer as a teenager helper. As a teenage helper, I help an adult leader move around through stations with the kids in my group and take care of them. As a youth who went through the Confirmation process at RUMC, I served as a Confirmation leader ("ex-con") where I planned and prepared a lesson on the topic being taught each week and helped to lead sixth and seventh graders in their journey with Christ. Also, I have gotten to go on two mission trips with the youth ministry at RUMC to Kenya (summer 2018) and Honduras (summer 2019) where I got to serve alongside fellow youth with organizations that our church supports financially. Currently, I am an active member of Chapel Roswell where I attend service on Sunday mornings and at Chaos on Sunday nights.”

“RUMC helped me begin the journey in my faith through Sunday school, programs like AYL, and especially confirmation. I am very confident in my relationship with God and I see the work that he does in my family's lives everyday. I use my leadership role in FCA at my school to help others grow their relationship with God, and to introduce as many of my peers to Christianity as I can. I am very thankful for RUMC and I continue to attend the Chapel Roswell service as often as possible.”

“Christ has been my constant focus throughout my life. I try and dedicate my life to serving him throughout church and my school. Yes, I have messed up many times but ultimately God has always led me back to Him. I attended public school from kindergarten through ninth grade. Throughout that time, I wasn’t happy with my group of friends and my school in general. Around tenth grade, I heard him calling me to make a change and go to another school. So, in the middle of my tenth grade year, I moved to a Christian school. The opportunity God presented me with has changed my life in the best way possible. By God giving me that opportunity, he allowed me to have more time to help in the church, to grow in my relationship with Him, to be happy, to spend more time with my family and, in general, have a better life. With being in a Christian school and being so active in RUMC, God is now more evident throughout my day-to-day life and I could not be more thankful.”
